Emergency Department Pharmacy Lisa Marie Serrano, Pharm D -The goal of the lecture is to give a snap-shot of what a day in the ED brings the moment a trauma arrives, a skilled nursing facility patient is severely short of breath, or when pharmacological decisions are made quickly ADL Transfers Dr. Phuong Nguyen, OTR/L & John Marguetis, OTR/L -"This workshop will cover recommendations and training in techniques to enhance functional mobility, including physical transfers, wheelchair management, and mobility devices. We will go over supine to sit, handling/bed mobility, stand-pivot transfers, squat-pivot transfers, and dependent transfers (single person and with a second person assist).Foot placement for the patient, therapist, and the basic body mechanics of all of the above. We will practice with the use of equipment such as wheelchairs, walkers, and shower chairs.Topics covered are not limited to the above, and may include more advanced instruction Suturing Dr. Alan Herford DDS, MD & Dr. Rahul Tandon DMD Are you ready to learn how to suture?!
