2ND ANNUAL INTERDISCIPLINARY HEALTH SYMPOSIUM
REGISTRATION IS CLOSED!
WELCOME
The USC Student-Run Clinic hosted the First Annual Interdisciplinary Health Symposium last March 2012, and while it was successful, we hope to improve upon its foundation this November. This symposium seeks to prepare YOU, the future doctors, physician assistants, pharmacists, and occupational therapists to impact change as future healthcare providers.
As students we interact very little with other health disciplines within our curriculum. While the USC Student-Run Clinic is the primary supporter and organizer of this event, through this symposium, it provides valuable inter-professional skills to the students in the Keck School of Medicine of USC, School of Pharmacy, Primary Care Physician Assistant Program, and Occupational Science and Occupational Therapy Program. In order to eliminate the barriers in inter-professional healthcare, it is necessary for us to build relationships with our future colleagues.
On November 4th 2012, we invite you to partake in this valuable inter-professional experience. The scheduled workshops have been tactfully designed to teach you clinical skills and awareness, while learning to interact and problem solve with students from three other health professional schools. By learning to collaborate effectively with our colleagues in a manner that optimizes patient health outcomes and safety, we can reduce the redundancy and inefficiency in our national healthcare system.
We hope to see you there!
